Software Integration Engineer

About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Integration Software Engineer with expertise in Ruby to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data integration solutions to ensure seamless communication between systems, applications, and databases. You will work closely with data engineers, developers, and stakeholders to build efficient data pipelines and integration solutions that drive business insights and automation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain data integration pipelines using Ruby and relevant data processing frameworks.

  • Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to manage data flow across various platforms and databases.

  • Work with APIs, webhooks, and other integration mechanisms to enable seamless data exchange between internal and third-party applications.

  • Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and security while handling high-volume data transactions.

  • Optimize database queries, improve performance, and troubleshoot integration-related issues.

  • Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and analysts to identify and resolve integration challenges.

  • Document data integration solutions, best practices, and maintain technical documentation.

  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data integration and Ruby development.

Required Qualifications

  • Education (or equivalent work experience) in Software Engineering

  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on data integration and Ruby programming.

  • Experience working with clinical software

  • Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and other Ruby-based data processing libraries

  • Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and SOAP for data exchange.

  • Detailed Oriented Approach with Proven Developer Testing Skills

  • Familiarity with ETL tools, message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka), and cloud-based data integration solutions.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot data integration issues effectively.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
